About

D.B. Cooper was born in Oxfordshire. After an extraordinarily normal upbringing, he read Computer Science and Technology at Cambridge University before joining the Royal Marines, rising to the rank of Major. As a full-time intelligence and security liaison officer he found himself regularly operating at the intersection between the military, the security services, and the emerging computer technology business.
On leaving the military he developed crytographic software for a number of international financial institutions where he gained a deep insight into how business and technology can unite to foil organised and disorganised crime.

Latterly, he has grown his own technology business to a point where he now has commercial, security, and military clients on almost every continent.
Raised a Catholic, he lapsed many years ago, but he keeps a keen interest, and an eternal optimism, for Church betterment.
Married for over thirty years, and with a growing family, he now resides on the South Coast of England where he pursues his many interests.
He has never knowingly parachuted from a commercial airliner.

What would happen if science could prove the existence of God?

When Damien Herschel is introduced to charismatic entrepreneur and cult leader, Doctor Karl Cummings, our investigator cannot help but be sceptical when he is told that the true word of God has been discovered deep within a long forgotten mathematical formula, and as a result, the world is on the brink of a new technological dawn.

So when Doctor Cummings' keynote presentation is hijacked by Ulysses Kosairov - newly escaped from prison - and leader of an ethical hacking group fundamentally opposed to Cummings plans, it unleashes the powerful forces of Science and Creationism into a collision-course that can only end in murderous confrontation.

Follow Herschel as he continues to wrestle with his inner-demons, and races to discover the truth behind Doctor Cummings' astonishing claims, the reason for Ulysses' gruesome vendetta, and the implications wrapped-up in the inevitable clash of two powerful opposing doctrines.
What they are saying
"I haven't read any books by this author before but I instantly enjoyed the flow of this book and the author's "voice". A few pages in and I was gripped by this story, trying to determine who was committing the gruesome murders and why. The author's descriptive prose make the characters really come to life and I particularly enjoyed the complex character of Damien Herschel. I would highly recommend this book, which keeps you guessing right to the very end."
"A real gripping page turner. A powerful and imaginative plot with unique twists and turns. Can't wait for Herschel's next outing.
D B Cooper has certainly carried it off!"
"Oh my word- what a gripping plot! I only brought it a few days ago and simply couldn’t put the book down! The author’s imagination is incredible, there are so many twists and turns, and really gruesome murders. The Herschel character was complex and fascinating. I certainly think this would make a fabulous film (as long as they have a top notch special effects department!) I’m gutted I’ve finished the book and can’t wait for the next one."
"What a great find! A new author and an excellent first offering.
For me, the first chapter builds slowly (establishing some central characters) but then - hold onto your hats - what a ride!!!! Compelling and absorbing all the way. Twists, turns, more great characters follow. And some more twists!
As others have said, Damien is a very curious character, I could easily see a sequel here…
Holds no punches but all the better for that IMHO.
We’ll done Mr Cooper - I look forward to your next book with great anticipation!"
"Really enjoyed this book. I'm not usually a great reader but once started I couldn't put this down. So keen was I to find out what happens next, why and to whom. Decent characters and plenty of twists, but it's the story line and story telling of the author which is the key."
